A global cash automation technology provider, headquartered in the US, helping organisations to control and streamline their cash operations.

The Challenge
The client sought to establish and grow a presence within the retail cannabis market. After identifying the emerging market as a potential growth opportunity thanks to the heavily cash-oriented nature of its retail transactions, the client required sales professionals to tap into the market by selling their cash management solution into dispensaries.

The Solution
The Gillespie Manners retail hardware team carried out research to source a list of prequalified candidates, and ultimately delivered a regional sales executive based in the clients west-coast territory. Following success of the initial placement, the client sought to grow the team further and Gillespie Manners secured two further sales professionals for their central and east coast regions.

Thomas joined Gillespie Manners in January 2017 as a Graduate Researcher, moving into the Retail Practice in July of that year. Thomas has since progressed through the company to the level of Consultant, Senior Consultant, and is now the Manager of the Retail Technology team. Thomas oversees a team of consultants and has a focus on new business development within the retail, hospitality, banking and gaming sectors within payment & financial technology.
Thomas has developed a successful track record in supporting clients ranging from niche technology start-ups through to major industry players, delivering on projects throughout North America, EMEA & APAC across roles within sales, marketing, product & project management, professional services, operations, development roles & Senior Leadership including C-Level Executives.
Prior to moving into Executive Search, Thomas attended the University of St Mark & John in his home county of Devon where he graduated with a First Class Honors Degree in Sports Coaching & Physical Education.
